Yi you here !! and those flowers ?? Whats all this.. !! I was totally confused.
“Hey Yi, Coming ” Gargi moving into the hall waved at Yi. Turning towards me she said “I later invited him too”
“Well that’s a surprise ! but nice least now i wont feel bad that I did not spoil his evening.” I said patting him. Gargi offered him litchi drink and returned back to kitchen while me started the origami work. Yi was quite a few initial moments and then began helping me. Some 20 min had passed when Gargi called us. “Get in here the food is served.”
I just jumped, all eager to eat her made food. Yi followed me to kitchen with some newbie hesitation. The kitchen already filled with aroma of the Methi chicken, looked more welcoming with the dinner served the Indian style, with food already inviting me. I jumped to dish and said “Gargi, Lets start, I cant wait more, Yi sit and lets begin”
Gargi, little stressed out with cooking sat too and we began eating. “This is amazing Chicken. We never cook like this” Yi exclaimed. Gargi gave him a slight smile while I kept gobbling the food. “Ummm, Wah, Gargi this is best !! seriously tu na Annapurna la mage taksheel- tila lajavsheel”..
Well she just gave smug but her eyes spoke out her joy. She looked as if her mission reached its goal, with her eyes filled with satisfaction. We finished the dinner and with over filled stomach we moved to the living room. There i showed her the finished Origami stuff. That relaxed her further. Yi was all quite all along this time. And we decided to leave.
“Chal! I got to go, need to finish my Matlab assignment. Come Yi lets go”
“OK Gaaar-gi Thanx for the dinner” Yi said to her. “My pleasure’s mine. See you guys”
On the way back to our rooms “Mandy you are lucky to have her” Yi said !! “What ?? Ohh common YI, you just pair me with any and every gal i speak with. Yi she’s my very good friend.” I answered him a but irritated.
“If not you, least she for sure has something for you” Yi said it with his regular serene style loathed in confidence.
“There your Dorm, Yi, I’ll meet you in lab tomorrow, bye” I bade him and walked ahead towards my dorm.
All the way I kept thinking about Yi had said, but thought well Yi has this way of teasing me. Forget it ..

It had been almost 6 months now since I met Xiao-fen. In last 6 months there has been hardly any day that we did not spend our evenings together. Never understood what is that pull me to her but with her i feel the evenings must not end.
Today evening as we sat along the Sechs see looking into those lakes she asked me “Mandy ! do you feel any fear?”
“Fear? of what! this water you mean?” I asked her playfully
“Huh !in general! like what are we doing here ? is this right? What makes you and me meet, neither of us have … “ “Woh Woh !! wait .. what are you talking about. You know why we meet! don’t you? Xiao, what happened ? ”
“No nothing as such, just some fear, fear that I’ll … naah nothing. Forget it”
“Hey ! speak.. don’t cut yourself, you can share it with me”
now looking far into the lake she asked me “Mandy, we have been in each other’s company for last so many months, this feeling with me for you bugs me, but do you too !! I mean do you ..”
slightly taken aback isaid “Xiao.. hold it. yessss I do …. I mean I understand what you are saying, and me too feel the same. Xiao I just cant ….”
She just turned towards me and hugged me, making me leave my sentence half way. Even I couldn’t resist the temptation of holding her in my arms. I’ve been dying to hold her in my arms and to ..
“Mandy, I so ….” I broke her in between … “Shooooo ! not now … first let me …”
“Umm nah !” playfully freeing herself she said .. ” now say what you wished to say ..” with her eyes displaying curiosity.
placing my arms again around her which she resisted but with a want in her eyes that I should not let her out of my arms .. I said inching closer to her .. “Xiao all I wanted to is ….”
