Avatar is simply superb!

Viewer’s rating: ***** (And finally)

Just to let you know how f*** desparate I am to write it than to watch free porn on television, I am writing this at 2:00 in the night, right after the movie’s last show got over!  Anyway! James Cameron’s new, Avatar, shows his class yet again. It is worth every penny and every year (10 total) spent on it. Its fantastic experience to  watch his genius, realising before the audience in a much grander way than Terminator or Titanic. Verdict: the film is simply superb!

Its true that the film’s script isn’t that new, the same old “white-guy-to-the-rescue”, which is why the pope probably had a thing to say. In fact, Avatar is much an analogy to The Matrix (1996), but who’s there to watch the plot? Avatar is all about culmination of  unbounded creativity and superior technology, where James successfully merges reality and animation to create a dream-world called Pandora! In short, the film’s plot is about humans and their zest for “capitalism” which rockets them to distant planet called Pandora.  There they find some precious material, Unobtanium (I don’t know if it exist in the Periodic table?). But they first have to get rid of the Pandoranian ethenics, called Na’vi. Na’vi are humanoids with special reinforcements, they are double the size of humans to begin with! Well, they aren’t that sofisticated with their living, and call a large tree-trunk as their home.Avatar-Teaser-Poster

James takes over from here with Jake Sully who is on mission to deal with Na’vi through dialogs. With advance DNA transplant, Jake gets a Na’vi avatar and starts his treasure trip in Pandora. He wants to relocate Na’vis, so that the company can dig into their “home” for mineral wealth.  But as Jake keeps explorig the beauty of Pandora, he draws closer to it and Neytiri, a sulky Na’vian princess. He finds it then difficult to choose between the real world and his alternate reality! All the while, Colonial Quaritch is getting restless as he is also on mission to protect humans from Pandoranian tribes. He wants to finish it before “dinner” by burning down the tree with no mercy! Betrayed by Jake, humans wage war on Na’vi, but Jake isn’t going to take it like that. He trains the Na’vis and several other ethenic communities for war against Col. Quaritch. Its Terror against Terror in the jungle which ends in a brutual combat.

The fims never lacks on its fuel, its spell-bounding graphics! And even though the virtual and the real are intermittant, its never a botheration, with seamless integration. The construction of Pandora, its elements, its trees, its creatures, and even the Na’vis are so beautifully innovative that to an extent, I missed being there! James’s attention to details, and that too, in a fiction film is impeccable, as I suppose, each pixel on the screen carried information.  He has pioneered the art of camera for the film that capatures human expressions and transfers them to animated characters in real-time. Highly sofisticated and advanced digital processing technology was used for filming, which cost 10 years! Everything inside the film is grand, matching almost to James’s imagination. Avatar is definitely the biggest draw last year and a sureshot success at the Oscars this year! So, go watch it.
